Privacy, in plain English

MinLag builds your jet-lag plan on your iPhone. You can use it for your first trip without an account. Signing in adds sync, AI features and Apple Watch sync. This page says what we keep and why.

What we store on our server

What stays on your iPhone

Apple Health data (sleep, daylight, heart rate, HRV, steps, wrist temperature and the rest) and your calendar never leave your device. The one exception is the morning check-in: when you send one, the app sends the few numbers shown on that screen (for example last night's sleep minutes and resting heart rate), the tags you tapped and your trip's time zones. Nothing is sent unless you tap to send it. Calendar event titles are never sent.

AI

AI features run through our own self-hosted router, which passes the request to a language-model provider and returns the answer. Requests contain only what that feature needs: the booking text you paste, or the structured numbers and choices from a check-in or a "Something changed?" tap. They are not linked to your name or email. If you choose "Bring your own AI", your phone talks to your provider directly with your key, which stays in your iPhone's Keychain and never reaches us.

What we don't do

Deleting your data

In the app, go to Settings, then Account, then Delete account. This deletes your account, trips, plan log and reports from our server straight away. A safety copy made at the moment of deletion is removed after 30 days, and nightly server backups roll over within 14 days. We keep anonymous AI usage counts with no link to you.
